Latitude Hissing Noise Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Renault Latitude diesel experienced reduced engine power, a check engine light, and a hissing noise during acceleration. The issue was identified as a charge air temperature sensor error, potentially due to a bad cable or plug. Suggestions included checking the airflow sensor and air intake for damage or loose connections. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by a workshop, which identified a faulty connection, restoring the car's performance for a cost of 95€.

I checked the airflow sensor and air intake, but didn't see anything. Since you had the same issue, do you have any ideas where the bad connection might be? Where should I look?

Honestly, I spent ages poking around before giving up. I took it to a workshop. They found it pretty quickly, and it only cost 95€. Best bet is to get it checked by someone who knows what they're doing. Save yourself the headache.

Thanks! I'm taking it to a shop. The issue was indeed a faulty connection. 95€ later, the car runs smoothly again.

Sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen with my Latitude. Reduced power, the hissing – it was like driving a kettle! Have you checked the airflow sensor and air intake for any obvious damage or loose connections? That was my first thought.
