Latitude Injection System Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Renault Latitude with a gasoline engine is experiencing signs of a faulty injection system, including increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. Diagnostics suggest a possible issue with a cable or plug in the injection system. A similar case pointed to an air leak or defective cable as potential causes, and a professional diagnostic check confirmed a defective cable connection, leading to a successful repair.

Thanks, that's helpful. Can you tell me exactly where to look for air leaks or loose connections? Where did you have problems in the air intake system?

It was hard to find the air leak without special tools. Given your symptoms, I'd suggest taking your Latitude to a workshop for a diagnostic check to find the exact problem. I remember now that they found a defective cable. It's better to let pros handle it.

Thanks for the advice. I took my Latitude to a workshop, and they found a defective cable connection in the injection system, like I thought. The repair cost 95€. I appreciate the help.

I also have a Renault Latitude, though not a 2013 model, and your symptoms sound like an issue I had. My fuel consumption was higher and the engine power decreased. It could be an air leak restricting airflow. Have you checked for hissing or loose connections around the air intake?
