Latitude NOx Catalyst Aging and Exhaust Leak

That's a helpful analogy! I'm not entirely sure where the leak is located. Is there a simple way to determine if it's before or after the catalytic converter without specialized equipment?

Without getting under the car, it's tough to pinpoint. A mechanic can easily locate it. Given the NOx code and the leak, I'd bet money that's your issue. A leak will cause incorrect readings. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop. I ended up with 265€ bill, but it depends on the leak.

Thank you for your advice! I took your suggestion and brought the car to my local shop. As you suspected, there was a leak in the exhaust system, which was indeed causing the NOx issue. They were able to repair it. I appreciate your help!

I had a similar issue with my Latitude. NOx emissions can be tricky. Is the exhaust leak before or after the catalytic converter? If it's before, it could definitely throw off the readings and trigger the NOx error. Think of it like trying to bake a cake with a hole in your oven – the temperature won't be right.
