Legend Undervoltage Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Honda Legend is experiencing undervoltage issues, leading to poor starting and intermittent system failures. The symptoms include weak lights and a seemingly weak battery. Despite the battery not being old, it may still be the cause. Suggestions include checking for voltage drops while driving and inspecting the alternator or voltage regulator. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a heavily discharged and defective battery, which was replaced to resolve the issue.

Voltage drops while driving, hmm... I haven't paid super close attention, but now that you mention it, maybe? How did you figure out what was causing your problem? And what should I be looking for in terms of voltage drops?

It's tough to say exactly without proper testing, but yeah, my Legend did the same thing. If you're seeing those kinds of issues, it's probably best to get it to a workshop and have them check the battery and charging system. Might save you a bigger headache down the road!

Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience! I really appreciate it. I took it to a mechanic, and you were right – turns out the battery was heavily discharged and defective. Had to replace it, and the total repair cost was 290€. Thanks for the advice!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same symptoms on my Legend a while back. Electrical problems are the worst! Have you noticed any voltage drops while driving, or any issues with the alternator? Could be alternator issue or voltage regulator
