Lexus ES AUC Sensor Fault

Blower motor on my 2002 Lexus ES with a gasoline engine isn't working. The scan tool is showing an AUC sensor fault. Thinking it's a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone seen this before with the climate control?

I had the same issue on my ES, likely the air quality sensor. First check the HVAC sensor, and then check the wiring. On mine, it was also the AUC sensor connection itself. Let me know if that helps!

Thanks! By wiring, do you mean the harness connector to the AUC, or the leads inside the sensor itself? Any tricks to getting at it easily? I'd rather not disassemble half the dash if I can avoid it.

I meant the harness connector. I’d suggest checking the voltage at the connector. Honestly, though, to really diagnose it, I just took mine to a workshop, where they could properly test the sensor and wiring. Saved me a lot of time.

I appreciate the advice. It ended up being a corroded connector as suspected. Cleaned it up and all is working again. Cost 95€ to diagnose and fix. Thanks again!
