Lexus ES BUS cable errors

I've got a 2005 Lexus ES with a gasoline engine and about 112k km on the clock that's throwing up some odd errors. Sporadic warnings, system failures mostly audio/nav related, occasional control unit shutdowns and error codes stored. Suspect a BUS cable issue. Anyone seen similar?

Hey, I had something similar with my ES. Are the errors completely random? Mine was doing the same thing, all the systems seemed to be going crazy at once. Did you check the cable connections yet? That might be a good first step.

Yeah, the errors are totally random. Seems to happen more when the car is warm, but that might be my imagination. Which cable connections specifically were you referring to? Any specific module?

Okay, random errors that get worse when warm sound very familiar. Check the connections to the main control unit itself, the one that manages the BUS system. In my case it was a loose connector, and that caused all sorts of issues. But honestly, if you aren't sure, I would just go to the workshop.

I'll check the connections to the main control unit. If that doesn't sort it, I'll book it into the shop. It ended up being a defective cable connection of the control unit with the BUS system. Cost me 155€ to get sorted.
