Lexus ES Hybrid Overheating Error

I've got a 2018 Lexus ES hybrid with 85628 kilometers. I'm getting an error and the engine is overheating. Could a bypass valve malfunction be the problem, maybe from a vacuum system issue? What should I check?

I had similar symptoms on my ES – engine overheating and a bypass valve error. It was a minor vacuum leak affecting the valve. Check the vacuum lines connected to the bypass valve for damage or disconnection.

When you say 'vacuum lines,' which specific lines should I be looking at? I'm not familiar with the engine layout and want to check the right components. Where are they located?

Given the complexity, a qualified technician should diagnose it. The bypass valve and vacuum system can be intricate, and misdiagnosis leads to unnecessary repairs. Consult a trusted workshop.

I scheduled an appointment, and the error was a consequential one. It was fixed without replacing the bypass valve. The repair cost 0€.
