Thanks, I appreciate the air filter insight; I’ll investigate that. Could you elaborate on the problem you experienced with your ES? Was the root cause also related to the injection system, and if so, what specific component was identified?

Okay, so it turns out my issue WAS related to the injection system. I'm no expert, but my mechanic said something about a dodgy connector. Honestly, with those symptoms, especially the smoke, I'd suggest getting it properly checked out. It could save you a bigger headache down the line. Best to just get it on the diagnostic machine.

Thanks for the guidance. Based on your recommendation, I arranged for a comprehensive diagnostic assessment at a reputable workshop. The fault was traced to a defective connector within the injection system, as suspected. The repair, involving replacement of the connector, amounted to 95€. I am optimistic that this will restore the vehicle to its optimal operational state.

Wow, those symptoms sound familiar! I've got an ES too. I had a very similar problem with the fuel economy tanking and the engine feeling sluggish. Plus, the stalling was a nightmare! Did you check the air filter? A clogged one can mess with the air/fuel mixture, but honestly, it sounds like something more serious than just a filter.
