Hmm, brake light switch... I did adjust the driver seat recently. Could I have knocked something loose maybe?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. It's an easy thing to bump and damage. I would suggest taking it to the workshop to verify before it becomes a costly repair.

You nailed it! Turns out I messed up the switch when adjusting the seat. Popped it back in, and everything works fine now! Thanks a million for the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 Series. Turned out to be a faulty brake light switch. Any chance you've been fiddling around near the brake pedal?
