Lexus GS Bumper Antenna Issue

Thanks! I will check if wet conditions make it worse. I've done a quick visual inspection of the cable and plug, but I don't have the tools for a deep dive. I'll get the error code from the OBD-II scanner. Would that help?

Yep, the error code would definitely help narrow it down! But honestly, given all those symptoms, and that you've already seen the signs of a bad connection, and now you mention you don't have the tools, it REALLY sounds like you need to get it to a workshop. I messed around for ages trying to fix mine, and in the end, I just created more problems for myself and wasted time. Just my two cents.

I appreciate the advice. I'll book a workshop appointment for a diagnostic assessment and repairs. I got an estimate of 95€ to replace the cable or plug. Thanks!

Whoa, that sounds rough. I had something similar happen with my GS. Does it happen more when it's wet outside? Water ingress into a dodgy antenna connection was the culprit for me. The symptoms you described are EXACTLY what I was seeing. You say you 'suspect' the cable or plug? Have you actually checked the connections yet? Which error code is being thrown?
