Yep, that's almost certainly it. Mine screwed up the fuel-air mixture. The 'specialist' was just a workshop with better diagnostic equipment, using a proper car diagnostic system. I'd suggest a reputable workshop for a proper diagnosis. Could be a messed-up remap.

I appreciate the help. A workshop confirmed the chip tuning caused the error. Reflashing the ECU fixed it, costing 180€.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my GS! Any aftermarket modifications, like chip tuning? My cheap scan tool only gave generic codes. A specialist said my ECU was acting up. Did your scanner mention the ECU?
