Lexus GS Weak Battery Sensor

I'm having trouble with my 2006 Lexus GS gasoline model. Only 21209 km on the odometer, but the engine struggles when starting, and the lights flicker, especially at idle. Battery voltage seems normal when off, but drops a lot under load. Could this be a bad battery sensor?

I also drive a GS and had similar issues a while back. Weak starting and flickering lights. Have you had the battery health properly tested?

When you had these issues, did a simple voltage test show the problem, or did it need more diagnostics? Trying to figure out if I should get more battery testing before replacing the sensor.

A simple voltage test didn't catch it, I had to go to the workshop. They confirmed it was the battery sensor. I'd recommend getting it properly diagnosed, could save you some guesswork.

Based on your recommendation, I took it to a workshop. They said the battery sensor was defective. The repair was 315€ including parts and labor. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
