Interesting. Under the driver's seat, you say? What exactly did you check there?

Yeah, under the seat. The main harness for the airbags and seatbelt pretensioners runs there. I disconnected the connectors, cleaned the pins with contact cleaner (you can find this in pretty much any auto parts store), and plugged them back in. The SRS light never came back on. But since it's your airbag system maybe you want to get it checked by a workshop. Don't want to mess with explosives.

Good call. Ended up taking it to the workshop. You were right, corroded connector. They cleaned it and charged me 95€. Thanks for the tip!

Had something similar happen with my old Volvo V70. The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System, which is Volvo's name for the airbag system) light would randomly come on. Turned out to be a corroded connector under the driver's seat. Have you checked the connections? Could be a quick fix.
