Lexus LC Defrost Air Distribution Flap Fault

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2017 Lexus LC hybrid. The defrost air distribution flap appears faulty, with an error stored and insufficient heating. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. The car has 91583 km on it. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

I had a similar issue with my 2014 Volvo V60 a few years ago. The symptoms were almost identical: weak heating and a diagnostic code related to the air distribution flap. In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connector on the HVAC unit itself. Have you inspected the wiring harness and connectors near the blower motor and HVAC unit?

Thank you for your insight. Could you elaborate on the specific location of the corroded connector in your Volvo V60? Knowing that might help me narrow down my search.

Certainly. In my Volvo, the corroded connector was located on the back of the climate control unit, behind the center console. Accessing it required removing several trim panels. While the exact location will differ in your Lexus LC, checking all connectors related to the HVAC unit is advisable. Given the symptoms and error code, a visit to a qualified workshop might be the most efficient solution.

Understood. I appreciate the information. Following your suggestion, I had the vehicle inspected. The repair cost was 95€. The cable or plug connection of the component was indeed defective, as suspected. Thank you for your assistance.
