I haven't noticed any issues after refueling. Where exactly is the purge valve located? Is it something I can check myself, or do I need special tools?

The purge valve is typically located near the engine, often on or near the intake manifold. You can probably locate it by following the hoses from the fuel tank. While you could try to check it yourself, it's often best to take it to a workshop. They'll have the right tools to diagnose the issue properly and check for any other potential problems with the emission system.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the tank ventilation valve. Hoses were clogged. They replaced it for 175€. Runs fine now.

Sounds like a possible EVAP system issue. The stalling at idle combined with the engine light definitely points in that direction. Have you noticed any issues after refueling, like difficulty starting? A faulty purge valve or clogged hoses can definitely cause those symptoms, impacting the fuel/air mixture, especially at idle. I would check the purge valve first.
