Lexus LS Hybrid Undervoltage Issue

Hey, I've got a perplexing issue with my 2014 Lexus LS hybrid. It's got 61068 km on it, and I'm getting undervoltage issues. Poor starts, intermittent failures, weak lights, and the battery feels weak when starting. I checked the terminals, and they're clean. Could this be the hybrid battery failing, or am I missing something?

Sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen in my old Audi A6. Did you check for any parasitic draw? Maybe a bad ground somewhere causing a voltage drop?

Thanks for the insight. How did you go about finding the parasitic draw in your Audi? Any specific areas I should focus on in my Lexus?

Honestly, I didn't get that far myself! After chasing my tail for a while and throwing parts at it, I bit the bullet and took it to a shop. Electrical gremlins are a pain. Maybe your issue is a simple fix, but I wouldn't waste too much time trying to figure it out.

Understood and appreciate the advice. I followed your suggestion and took it to a trusted mechanic. Turns out the auxiliary battery was heavily discharged and defective. A replacement cost me 290€, and now everything is running smoothly. Thanks again!
