Lexus LS Temperature Sensor Fault

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2010 Lexus LS with a gasoline engine. The error memory has a fault related to the temperature sensor on the heat exchanger. This triggers an error message on the speedometer, and the AC refuses to switch on. Could this be a coolant leak or sensor malfunction? I've checked the visible wiring and connectors, but everything seems fine. Could it be a defective sensor calibration?

I had a similar problem with my Lexus LS. The AC control unit was the culprit. Have you checked that?

Thanks for the info. Is it possible to check the AC control unit myself, or is it best to leave that to professionals? Any specific things I should look for?

I would suggest going to a workshop, since a defective AC control unit can cause this and may require special tools. It was the temperature sensor heat exchanger. The sensor malfunction triggered the AC issue.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on! The temperature sensor heat exchanger was indeed defective, and the AC control unit was faulty. Repair cost me 980€. All is working again.
