Lexus LX cold start issue

Hi, I have a 2021 Lexus LX with a diesel engine. I'm experiencing poor engine running during cold starts, and an error code is stored. Fuel consumption also seems higher. After some research, it seems like a defective electric auxiliary heater (PTC) might be the cause. Anyone else had similar issues?

I had a similar problem with my LX. Hard starts when it was cold and the MPG dropped. Is the check engine light on?

Yes, the check engine light is on. Did you also get an error code related to the HVAC system? What was the fix?

Yep, same here. It was the PTC heater. I'd advise getting it checked out at a workshop, as the electrics can be tricky.

Thanks for the info! I took it to the shop, and indeed, the PTC heater was faulty. They replaced it for 350€. Everything seems fine now.
