Thanks for the quick reply! What exactly does the exhaust back pressure sensor do, and how can I check if it's faulty?

Okay, so I'm no expert but from what I understand, the exhaust back pressure sensor measures the pressure in the exhaust system. The car's computer uses this to control things like fuel injection and DPF regeneration. If the sensor is faulty, it might send incorrect signals, causing the problems you're seeing. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much myself without proper tools. I would recommend taking it to a workshop.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, the exhaust back pressure sensor was defective. Replaced it for 245€ and now it runs like new!

That sounds frustrating! I have a Lexus LX too, and I had similar issues a while back. Reduced power and the smoke... ugh, I remember it well. Have you tried forcing a DPF regeneration? Sometimes that helps clear things out if it's just clogged. Though, 'low pressure' sounds more like a sensor problem. Could be the exhaust back pressure sensor is defective. I know someone who had similar symptoms and that was the cause.
