Lexus LX Glow Control Unit Issue

Hey, my 2021 Lexus LX diesel is giving me headaches. 203476 km on the clock. The preheating lamp won't turn off, engine light's on, and it smokes like crazy when I accelerate. Suspect a faulty cable or plug in the glow control unit. Anyone seen this before?

I had similar symptoms on my LX. Check engine light, engine misfire, a bit of smoke... It was the glow control unit. Have you checked the connections to the unit itself?

Yeah, I wiggled the connectors, seemed ok. You had the same symptoms but the connector was defective? How to check?

Yes, the symptoms were very similar. Unfortunately, you need special tools to measure if the connector has some short-circuit. Considering the repair price, I recommend going to the workshop, they will find it.
