Lexus LX Transfer Case Limp Mode

My 2013 Lexus LX diesel is in transfer case limp mode with only 48365 km. The gearbox is slipping and shifting uncleanly. I've scanned for codes, and nothing obvious is popping up directly related to the transmission, but I suspect consequential faults from possible ABS issues. Anyone seen anything like this before?

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar powertrain malfunction with my old Audi Q7. It wasn't exactly the same symptoms, but it also went into limp mode and threw me for a loop. Was your torque converter locking and unlocking erratically?

That's interesting! I'm not sure about the torque converter, to be honest. How did you figure that out on your Q7? What kind of diagnostic trouble did you see?

For me, the Audi's diagnostic trouble codes pointed to a torque converter issue. Best bet, take it to a workshop and get it scanned with a proper diagnostic tool. Hard to be precise without that.

Okay, makes sense. Thanks for the insight! I think you're right, time to get it looked at by a pro. The repair cost was 0€!
