Lexus NX Climate Control Failure

My 2016 Lexus NX with a gasoline engine is acting up. The climate control panel is dead. There's an error stored, the heat is weak, and the AC won't turn on. Thinking it might be a bad cable or plug. Anyone else seen this?

I had a similar issue on my NX. Start by checking the blower motor resistor and the wiring harness to the climate control panel. A bad connection or resistor can cause that. Also, check the power to the HVAC system. Make sure the fuses are good.

Thanks for the advice! Where's the blower motor resistor located? And which fuse handles the HVAC? Just trying to be thorough.

On my NX, the blower motor resistor was accessible from the passenger footwell, behind the glove compartment. Given the error code and symptoms, I'd suggest a workshop. The problem is likely a defective cable or plug. Replacing the parts cost me 95€. Better safe than sorry!

Took your advice and went to the shop. You were right – it was a corroded connector in the wiring harness. They cleaned it, replaced a section, and now it's blowing cold air again! Thanks!
