Lexus NX Fog Sensor Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Lexus NX is experiencing issues related to the fog sensor, leading to problems with the AC, windshield washer nozzles, and mirror heaters. The sensor and wiring appear intact, but there may be a deeper issue with the wiring or connector. Suggestions include cleaning the sensor, checking the fuses, and inspecting connectors for corrosion. If these steps don't resolve the issue, professional diagnostics may be necessary.

Thanks for the tip! I did give the sensor a wipe-down, but I'll double-check the fuses just to be sure. When you had the issue with your Megane, did you end up replacing the sensor or was it something else entirely?

Nah, I didn't replace the sensor. For me, it was a corroded connector. The mechanic cleaned it all up, applied some dielectric grease, and boom – problem solved. Though honestly, with all those symptoms pointing to the sensor, it might be worth getting it checked out by a pro. Could save you a headache in the long run.

Appreciate the insight! I'll take a closer look at the connectors and wiring. If that doesn't pan out, I'll probably bite the bullet and take it to the shop. The diagnostics and labor is estimated at 95€, so it's worth it to get it sorted properly. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had almost the EXACT same thing happen on my old Renault Megane a few years back. The AC cutting out was the worst part. Have you tried cleaning the sensor itself? Sometimes dust or debris can mess with the readings. Also, did you check the fuse box? A blown fuse could be the culprit too. Just a thought!
