Lexus RX Audio System Failure

My 2018 Lexus RX, gasoline engine, is experiencing an audio system malfunction at 210852 km. The system is non-operational, and an error is stored in the error memory. Suspect display defect. Any insights?

Whoa, that sounds frustrating! No tunes in your Lexus? Bummer! Does 'non-operational' mean absolutely nothing, like a totally dead screen? Or are you seeing anything at all? Like, does the Lexus logo pop up when you start the car, even for a sec? Have you tried messing with the volume control, maybe it's just stuck on mute? Also, any weird noises, like speaker crackle before it died?

The screen is entirely black. The volume control has no effect. There was no speaker crackle before the system stopped working.

Okay, a completely black screen and unresponsive controls definitely points to a bigger problem than just a muted volume. When you say 'error stored in error memory', did you pull that code yourself, or did a shop do it? Because if it's a display issue, it could be a simple connection problem, or the whole unit might be toast. Sadly, Lexus audio systems can be a pain. I'd say it's workshop time, especially with those error codes. They'll have the right tools to diagnose it properly.

Thank you for the advice. The diagnostic confirmed a defective display unit. Repair cost is estimated at 725€.
