Thanks! I'll check the brake lights. What should I look for regarding the steering wheel connections? Not mechanically inclined. Which speed sensor?

Brake lights are easiest. For the steering wheel, I'm talking about the plugs and wiring harness for the cruise control buttons. They get loose or corroded. If brake lights are okay and connections look fine, it might be a defective cable or plug connection, and you might need a workshop.

Thanks! It was a defective cable or plug connection, like you said. Workshop fixed it, cost 95€, but it's sorted!

I had a similar problem with my SC. Do your brake lights work? A faulty pedal switch can cause the cruise control to disengage and throw an error. Also, check the connections around the steering wheel. Maybe a speed sensor issue?
