Lexus SC radio reception issue

Hey, I'm having a strange issue with my 2008 Lexus SC with a gasoline engine. The radio reception is terrible. I'm getting an error message in the infotainment system, the audio system sometimes cuts out completely, and my OBD scanner is showing an error related to the antenna signal. I've checked the antenna connection visually, and it seems fine. I suspect a defective antenna, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this before I start tearing things apart.

I had a similar problem with my SC. Constant static and the system would randomly throw errors. Have you checked the signal amplifier?

Where is the signal amplifier located? And did you also get the same error message in your infotainment system?

I honestly don't know where it's located, I'm not that technical. But yes, same error message. In the end, I just took it to a workshop.

Thanks for the info. It seems like the antenna was indeed defective; the workshop confirmed it. Repair cost me 255€. Replacing the antenna fixed the issue.
