Thanks! They did mention 'fuel pressure' being involved when they read the error code. The exact words were 'rail pressure sensor signal faulty'. Does that ring any bells? Also, my car has 127574 km on it. Maybe the sensor is just old?

Ah yes, 'rail pressure sensor signal faulty' sounds really familiar! Okay, mine was definitely the rail pressure sensor then, now that I think of it! Honestly, if they've already pinpointed the sensor, I'd say just get it replaced. I tried a few things myself, but ultimately had to take it to a workshop anyway. It's probably best to get it sorted before it causes more damage.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate you confirming it was likely the sensor. I'll get it booked in for a replacement ASAP. They quoted me around 240€ for the repair, including the sensor. Hopefully, that'll fix it. Thanks again!

Hey! I have a Lexus SC too. I seem to remember having similar issues a while back. The engine stalling and the check engine light were definitely things I experienced. Was it throwing any specific codes related to fuel pressure? Could also be a clogged fuel filter, but the sensor seems more likely, I guess. Let me know any other hints you have!
