Lexus UX automatic transmission parking position error

I'm experiencing a troubling issue with my 2020 Lexus UX gasoline. It has about 73474 km. The car refuses to start, and the check engine light is illuminated. I've also noticed some unpleasant slipping during gear shifts, and, after running diagnostics, an error is stored in the memory regarding the automatic transmission parking position. Could this be a major issue?

I had similar transmission issues with my UX. Does the error specifically mention a faulty transmission sensor or control unit? I would check the gear linkage as well. Is the gear shifter moving smoothly?

Yes, the slipping was very similar, and the error code pointed towards the control unit as well. I'd strongly recommend taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. It seems like an affected control unit is quite a common issue. For me, the final repair costs totaled around 1000€.
