Lexus UX Electric Battery Drain

Esteemed Lexus community, I am writing to you today with a concerning issue involving my 2021 Lexus UX electric. With 97137 km on the odometer, I've begun experiencing a heavily discharged battery. The symptoms include an error message displayed within the speedometer, weak and flickering lights, and a stored error code within the vehicle's memory. Furthermore, the battery seems weak when attempting to start the engine. From my research, a defective battery sensor seems to be the likely culprit. Has anyone encountered a similar situation?

Hey, I also drive a UX. Sounds like you're having the same problem I had a while back. Does the error message mention anything specific, or is it just a generic 'low battery' warning?

Thank you for your response! The error message is rather vague, simply indicating a malfunction within the electrical system. I have checked the battery's voltage, which appears to be significantly lower than expected. Did your UX exhibit similar behavior before you addressed the problem?

Yep, that's exactly what mine was doing. The voltage drop was the biggest clue. Honestly, with those symptoms and the mileage you're at, a faulty sensor is a strong possibility. I'd recommend getting it checked out at a reliable workshop. It’s likely a quick fix, but definitely get it diagnosed properly. Don't want to risk damaging anything else.

I appreciate your advice immensely! I have scheduled an appointment with a trusted mechanic for a comprehensive diagnostic assessment. It appears that the battery sensor was indeed defective, leading to the parasitic drain and subsequent issues. The repair, including parts and labor, amounted to 315€. Thank you again for your invaluable assistance in resolving this matter.
