Lexus UX Throttle Valve Issue

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't tried cleaning the throttle body yet, but that's a good shout. I don't have the tools for the job, and I'm not sure where I should start. Where can I find the throttle position sensor?

Alright, it sounds like you are not experienced with a wrench, so fiddling with the sensor might be a Pandora's Box. If you're not super comfy with car DIY, I'd really suggest finding a trustworthy workshop that knows their way around Lexus vehicles. I would bet that it's the accelerator pedal module, just like you suggested. It’s like the brain telling the engine the wrong information. Getting it diagnosed properly will save you headaches down the road.

Thanks a lot for the help! Based on your recommendations, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the throttle valve and replaced it. The total repair cost was 205€. The car is now running great, and the fuel consumption is back to normal!

Hey there! Your symptoms do sound like a throttle issue. It reminds me of what happened with my old Peugeot 308. It was like the engine was breathing through a straw! Have you tried cleaning the throttle body or looked at the throttle position sensor readings? Sometimes a good clean can do wonders. What kind of error codes are you getting, if any?
