Lexus UX transmission issue

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2021 Lexus UX hybrid, mileage 121882 km. The transmission indicator and check engine light are both illuminated. The automatic transmission seems to be in emergency mode, shifting poorly, almost slipping, and making grinding noises. Error is stored in the error memory regarding radiator oil pressure defective. I've inspected the cable and plug connection of the component, but everything appears to be seated correctly. Any thoughts?

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my UX. My transmission was acting all sorts of crazy. Was the cooling system also a suspect for you?

Yes, the error message specifically mentions radiator oil pressure being defective. I was thinking about checking for leaks in the cooling system and maybe testing the pressure gauge. Any specific area of the cooling system I should focus on or anything else to look for?

Okay, that sounds exactly like what happened to me. I was getting worried about overheating too, and started thinking it was an oil cooler issue. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself. Just take it to a workshop. These hybrid systems are complicated. Could be a small thing, but also could be a real pain to diagnose without the right tools.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was a bit more complex than just a loose connection. Ended up being a faulty connection. Cost me 95€ to repair. Appreciate the input!
