Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the air quality sensor located? And how involved is checking the wiring harness?

On my IS it was behind the glove box, but its a Lexus, so it might be the same. Really easy to get to. Checking the harness involves just visually inspecting it for any obvious damage, loose connections, or corrosion. But honestly, if you're not comfortable with that, I'd just take it to a workshop. Could save you a headache in the long run.

Appreciate the advice. I'll give the harness a look, but probably best to play it safe and take it to a workshop. They diagnosed it as a defective cable. Fixed for 95€. Thanks again!

Hey, I had something similar happen on my Lexus IS. The auto recirculation wasn't working, and it turned out to be a faulty cabin air sensor. Have you checked the wiring harness for the air quality sensor? I would start there.
