LFA Poor Start Fuel Consumption

My 2012 Lexus LFA with a gasoline engine is exhibiting some concerning behavior. Mileage is at 246469 km. I've noticed a higher fuel consumption recently and the vehicle has been starting poorly. Suspect a defective throttle valve, possibly due to a defective accelerator pedal module. Any insights?

Whoa, an LFA! Jealous. Higher fuel consumption and poor starts sound familiar. I had similar grief with my old Volvo, though. Turned out to be gunk in the throttle body messing with the engine idle. Have you tried cleaning the throttle body or checking the throttle position sensor? Might be worth a shot before jumping to the pedal module.

DIY cleaning is possible, but be careful! You can find guides online. The throttle position sensor is usually attached directly to the throttle body. Honestly, with an LFA, I'd be nervous mucking about. If you're unsure, a workshop visit might save you headaches – and expensive parts.
