LFA Undervoltage Issues

Experiencing undervoltage issues with my 2012 Lexus LFA (gasoline engine). Mileage is at 194739 km. I'm noticing poor starts, system failures, flickering lights, and weak battery when starting. Suspect heavy battery discharge or a defective battery. Anyone else seen this?

I had similar electrical problems with my 2018 BMW 3 Series a while back. It drove me crazy! Weak starts and random errors popping up. Could be a voltage regulator issue as well. How old is your battery? Have you checked the battery voltage while the car is running?

The battery is original, so potentially quite old. Voltage when running is what I need to check. What was the eventual culprit in your case? Was the voltage regulator to blame or the battery?

In my case, it turned out to be a failing battery. I'd definitely start there. Even if it's not the sole cause, a weak battery can wreak havoc. Get it tested professionally, though. You might save yourself some time and money by avoiding unnecessary replacements. I advise you to go to the workshop and let them check the car.

Thanks! Based on your experience, I had the battery checked. Indeed, it was heavily discharged and defective. Replaced it, problem solved. Repair cost was 290€. Appreciate the help!
