LFA Weak Battery Defective Sensor

I'm having an issue with my 2011 Lexus LFA, gasoline engine. The engine is hard to start because of a weak battery, and the lights are weak and flickering. I'm wondering if it's a defective battery sensor. Has anyone else seen this?

Battery sensor issues are kinda rare on these. Are you sure the battery terminals are clean and tight? A loose connection can mimic sensor problems and give you those symptoms.

Thanks. I checked the terminals, and they're clean and tight. Could a faulty sensor cause an inaccurate voltage reading, leading to insufficient charge?

Yeah, a bad sensor could definitely mess with the voltage readings and how the car charges the battery. If the connections are good, then a faulty sensor seems like the most likely culprit. Best to get it checked out at a workshop, just to be sure.

Thanks for the input. I had the car inspected, and the battery sensor was indeed defective. Replaced it for 315€. Problem solved.
