Linea cold start problem
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Fiat Linea with a gasoline engine and 57141 km mileage is experiencing poor running during cold starts, suspected to be due to a faulty cold start injector. A similar issue was resolved by checking the fuel delivery system, particularly the injectors. Professional diagnostics confirmed a defective injector, leading to its replacement.

Thank you for your response. I have not yet checked the fuel rail pressure specifically. Could you elaborate on what aspects of the fuel delivery system I should be inspecting? I am trying to narrow this down before potentially replacing the injection valve/injector.

Well, in my case, it was persistent. And honestly, I didn't have the tools to properly diagnose it myself. Eventually, I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed an injector issue. So, if you're unsure after checking the basics, a professional diagnosis might be the best course.

I appreciate your input and sharing your experience. I have taken it to a workshop for diagnostics; the issue was indeed a defective injector. The total repair cost came to 515€. Thank you again for your assistance!

Hey, I had something similar on my Linea. Rough idle, especially when the engine was cold. Misfires were pretty bad until it warmed up. I was thinking it could be fuel related. Have you checked the fuel rail pressure, or considered the fuel delivery system at all?
