Livinia throttle valve issue
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a 2022 Nissan Livinia experiencing higher fuel consumption and poor starting, suspected to be due to a defective throttle valve or accelerator pedal module. Possible causes discussed include a faulty throttle position sensor and issues with the throttle body or control valve. Suggested solutions include cleaning the throttle body and having the vehicle checked at a workshop, which ultimately confirmed the accelerator pedal module as the issue, leading to a successful repair.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the control valve located? And is throttle cleaning really that helpful?

The control valve is integrated into the throttle body. Cleaning can help, but with those symptoms and mileage, it's likely a deeper issue. I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks! Took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turned out to be a defective accelerator pedal module as I suspected. 205€ later and she's running smooth again!

I had similar symptoms with my Livinia! Could be a faulty throttle position sensor. Have you tried cleaning the throttle body and checking the control valve?
