Hey, thanks for your quick reply! My partner's speedometer is currently at 133735 KM and the last inspection was about six months ago. I'm a bit worried about your experience, hopefully it's not as bad for me. It's really good that you had it done in time. Cheers!

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help! The symptoms you talked about are very familiar to me. In your case, I would definitely have the EGR valve checked. What helped me was a thorough cleaning of it. Have you noticed that the engine is running rough or are there any signs of smoke coming from the exhaust? That was the case for me and after cleaning the EGR valve, everything was fine again. Your mileage is already relatively high and various problems can occur at this mileage. Another tip from me: I recommend replacing the diesel particulate filter for the Partner every 120,000 kilometers. Perhaps it's time to check any indications in this direction if this has not already been done. In terms of recent inspections - how often have the oil changes been done and has the mass air flow sensor ever been changed? These are also factors that can influence engine dynamics. I hope this helps you a little. Keep us posted on what you find out! I saved myself a lot of headaches and money back then by having this problem fixed promptly. All the best to you!

Hi there, thank you very much, you really seem to know your stuff! I did indeed notice my engine running rough and some smoke coming out of the exhaust. The EGR valve sounds plausible, I'll definitely have it checked. I haven't changed the diesel particulate filter yet despite the high mileage, so maybe there's a problem there too. Regarding the inspection: the oil has always been changed regularly and the mass air flow sensor was already changed once two years ago. I will definitely take your advice to heart and have the whole thing checked by a mechanic. I'll keep you posted on what comes out of it. Thanks again for your help! See you then!

Hello, I have had a similar problem with my 2007 Peugeot 207. So I already have a bit of experience, but I would still describe myself as someone with "little experience". In my case, the mechanic found that the exhaust system was leaking badly, which explains the symptoms. The repair cost 265 euros, but was necessary to protect the engine from further damage. To help you further, it would be helpful if you could provide a few more details about your vehicle. For example, what is the mileage and when was the last inspection? I hope this helps you for now!
