Thanks for sharing that solution, it sounds exactly like the issue I faced. The transport mode activation was indeed causing havoc with my Lyriq's electronics. After getting it properly diagnosed and the car configuration reset, everything went back to normal. How much did the diagnostic check and fix end up costing you? Did you experience any recurring automotive electrical issues afterward? My repair was about two months ago, and I want to make sure I keep an eye out for any potential problems.

The transport mode issue was completely resolved during my warranty service visit, so there was no cost involved. After the diagnostic check and system reset, my ELR electrical systems have worked flawlessly. The vehicle settings returned to normal and I have not experienced any recurring issues with the navigation system or other electronic components. A key point is making sure the key fob programming was properly verified after the fix. This helps prevent any lingering communication issues between the vehicle and key system. The engine start sequence has been consistently normal since the repair. Since your Lyriq is still relatively new, you likely wont face additional problems related to the transport mode activation. However, its worth keeping the service documentation in case any similar automotive electrical quirks pop up. Most modern EVs maintain detailed diagnostic logs that technicians can reference if needed.

Thanks for all the input. I finally got the issue resolved at a certified EV service center. The diagnostic check revealed the transport mode was still partially active, causing conflicts with the car electronics. A software update and complete system reset fixed everything. The repair cost came to 450€ including the diagnostic work and reprogramming. Much better than my first mechanic who just kept checking fuses and battery connections without solving anything. The navigation system now works perfectly and all electrical functions are back to normal. The technician showed me the diagnostic logs proving the transport mode was the culprit. They also checked the key fob programming and car configuration to prevent future issues. After two weeks of driving, everything is working exactly as it should.

Recently dealt with similar electrical issues in my 2019 Cadillac ELR. The vehicle settings and navigation system were malfunctioning, which turned out to be connected to an incorrectly configured transport mode status. Transport mode is typically left active by dealerships during initial delivery and can cause various electronic malfunctions if not properly deactivated. The symptoms match exactly what you describe, dead navigation and erratic electrical functions while core driving systems remain operational. The fix required a complete system reset and reconfiguration of the vehicle settings through the main diagnostic computer. The car immobilizer system also needed reprogramming, as it was stuck in a security loop due to the transport mode conflict. This was definitely a serious technical issue requiring specialized diagnostic equipment. For your Lyriq, I suggest having the following checked: Transport mode status in main computer, Key fob programming integrity, System voltage readings, Immobilizer system status, Complete electrical system diagnostic scan Best to have this addressed at a certified service center with experience in EV electronics, as improper diagnosis could lead to more complex issues.
