M Klasse vibration and engine mount issue

The error code was rather generic, only pointing to a 'malfunction' in the engine mount system. Is there a specific mount location that tends to fail more often in your experience? Or a specific test you performed to pinpoint the failed mount?

Without the specific error code, it's difficult to isolate. My mount failure was on the passenger side. Visually inspect each mount, paying close attention to the rubber bushing. If you're unsure, I would recommend a workshop visit for proper diagnosis.

Thanks for the input. I had it checked out. Turns out it was indeed a failed mount, the cable was corroded as well. Repair set me back 95€. Appreciate the help.

I have a Mercedes M Klasse and had similar vibration issues. The symptoms you describe align with my experience. Check the mounting bracket itself for visible damage. A crack or separation is often the culprit. Did the error memory specify which motor mount is defective?
