Marea Headlight Range Control Fault
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a headlight range control fault in a 2005 Fiat Marea diesel, where the low beam shines incorrectly, and a warning light is present. The issue is suspected to be a defective servomotor in the headlight. A similar experience shared by another Marea owner suggests checking the headlight switch or control module first, but ultimately, the servomotor was confirmed to be the problem, leading to a workshop repair.

Thanks! I haven't checked the headlight switch or control module yet. Could you tell me where those are located and how to test them?

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure where they are on the Marea, and I wouldn't want to steer you wrong. But when my low beams were wonky, and that light kept flashing, I just took it to a workshop. The servomotor was shot, like you suspected. Saved myself a headache. Good luck!

I appreciate it. A workshop visit was inevitable. The servomotor was indeed defective. The total repair cost was 1040€. Thanks again for confirming my suspicions and sharing your experience.

Hey! I drive a Marea too, and your headlight issue sounds familiar. I had almost the exact same symptoms. Did you check the headlight switch or the control module at all? It could be something simple before you start tearing things apart.
