Marea Manifold Pressure Error
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Fiat Marea with a gasoline engine exhibited a check engine light and manifold pressure errors, suspected to be caused by a defective hose connection from the pump to the air valve. A similar issue in another vehicle was attributed to a vacuum leak, suggesting that even a small leak could disrupt manifold pressure and cause stalling. After replacing the hose and clearing the error code, the problem was resolved, confirming the initial suspicion.

I’ve smoke tested the intake, no other leaks found, just around the air valve. You think a small leak there could cause those symptoms?

Absolutely. Even a small vacuum leak can mess with the manifold pressure and cause stalling. If you've isolated it to that valve, best get it sorted. I had to take my Astra to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed and fixed.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicion. I replaced the hose and cleared the code. Runs fine now. Cost me 175€. Appreciate the insight.

Yeah, similar thing happened to my old Opel Astra. Same engine stalling and check engine light symptoms. Turned out to be a vacuum leak. Have you checked for other vacuum leaks besides the hose connection?
