Marea OBD2 system readiness error
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Marea diesel exhibited system readiness errors after using an OBD2 scanner. The issue arose after clearing codes with the scanner, which likely reset the system readiness checks. Initially concerned about potential OBD2 or exhaust system problems, it was suggested that driving the car might resolve the issue. Ultimately, driving the vehicle allowed the system checks to pass without further intervention or cost.

Yeah, I did clear a few codes after the scan. So, you reckon that's nuked the system readiness? Is it something that sorts itself out after a while, or am I looking at a trip to the mechanic?

Clearing the codes is almost certainly the reason for your issue. As for sorting itself out: I wouldn't bet on it. I would suggest taking it to a reliable workshop.

Thanks! I was fearing that it was something worse. Turns out, all that was needed was driving around for a bit. All system checks passed, cost me 0€! Cheers!

I have a Marea too, and I think I had something similar happen once. Did you recently clear any codes using the OBD2 reader? That might be the cause.
