Mark X Exhaust Leak and Lambda Sensor Issue

My 2019 Toyota Mark X with a gasoline engine is showing some serious problems at only 52102 km. The check engine light is on, the engine runs rough, there's an exhaust leak, and the exhaust smell is overpowering. I suspect an exhaust treatment malfunction. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I have a Mark X too, and your symptoms sound familiar. When mine had similar issues, especially the rough running and strong exhaust smell, it ended up being a defective lambda sensor. Have you checked that?

Yes, there was a noticeable exhaust leak smell, which made me suspect something was seriously wrong with the exhaust system. It's best to get it checked by a workshop. They can properly diagnose the source of the leak and confirm if it's the sensor or something else.
