Massage seat issue on CLA

My 2013 Mercedes CLA with a gasoline engine is giving me a headache. The massage seat switch isn't working. I've got 75401 km on the clock. I can't switch on the massage function, and there's an error stored in the error memory. I'm thinking it's probably a cable or plug issue. Has anyone else had this? I'm dreading the repair cost. Could be something with the seat motor... maybe the whole massage chair is busted. This luxury car thing is starting to feel less luxurious...

I also have a CLA and ran into something similar with my massage seat. 'Error stored in the error memory' sounds like a loose connection. Did you check the fuses? Also, can you hear any sound from the seat when you try to activate the massage? Like a faint hum from the seat motor trying to work?

Fuses, huh? I didn't even think of that. Where exactly are the fuses for the seat located? And no, I don't hear any sound at all when I try to turn it on. Completely dead. Does that make a difference?

Okay, fuses are usually in the fuse box, either under the hood or inside the car, check your manual. No sound at all points even more to electrical – could still be the switch failure itself, or a damaged wire, or even the seat motor. Honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and it might save you a lot of frustration.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right. It was a defective plug connection. Cost me 95€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!
