Master ABS Lateral Acceleration Sensor Fault

ABS lamp keeps illuminating on my 2018 Renault Master electric van, and the ABS system seems to be failing intermittently. The diagnostic tool shows a 'Lateral Acceleration Sensor Fault' error, which points towards a defective control unit. The van has 142818 km on the clock. Has anyone encountered anything similar? I've read vehicle stability, yaw rate, wheel alignment and the electronic control may be involved here. Initial estimates suggest the repair could be around 1000€.

I had almost the exact same thing happen with my Master! ABS light, the whole shebang. It was a real pain. Was it happening more when you were turning sharply or going over bumps?

Yes, it does seem more frequent when cornering at speed or on uneven surfaces. Did the error code also point to the lateral acceleration sensor? What was the final fix in your case?

Yep, same error code as you. Honestly, don't waste too much time trying to diagnose it yourself. Just take it to a workshop that knows their stuff. It's almost certainly the control unit, and you don't want to mess with that yourself. It’s going to be an expensive fix sadly. Good luck!

Thanks for confirming, I really appreciate it! I've booked it into a reputable workshop. I suspected it was going to be the control unit. At least I know what to expect now. Thanks again for the advice!
