Master rough idle engine mount

I've got a 2014 Renault Master diesel with about 248k km. The engine is idling really rough, and I've got an error code. Thinking it might be a defective engine mount, maybe just the cable or plug connection to it? Anyone else run into this?

I had something similar with my Master. Check the rubber mount really carefully. When those motor mounts wear out, they can cause all sorts of weird vibrations and error codes. It's worth looking at the transmission mount too, just in case. Is it shaking more than usual?

Thanks for the tip! By 'rubber mount' do you mean the engine mount itself? And how can I tell if it's actually bad? Is it obvious, like cracked rubber or something?

Yeah, the engine mount. Sometimes it's obvious - like you said, cracked or completely torn rubber. Other times it's more subtle – the rubber just gets weak and doesn't dampen the vibrations properly. If you can move the engine more than you think you should by hand, it's probably gone. If you are unsure, better have it checked by a workshop, those mounts can be tricky. A broken engine mount can cause more issues down the road.

Okay, I get it. Thanks, I'll check it out and probably take it to a workshop. Sounds like a faulty cable or plug connection is unlikely. They quoted me around 95€ for a replacement, so I hope that's all it is!
