Matiz automatic transmission fault
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Chevrolet Matiz is experiencing automatic transmission issues, indicated by warning lights and rough shifting, with a grinding noise. The error memory suggests a radiator oil pressure defect, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by replacing a faulty pressure sensor, which was confirmed by a mechanic, leading to smooth operation after repair.

Slipping and unclean shifting, yes. Where exactly is the pressure gauge located? Is it difficult to access?

Okay, so it's probably the same issue then. I wouldn't know exactly where it is now, but I remember that it wasn't too difficult to change. I would recommend to go to the workshop, though.

Thanks for the advice! I had the cable and plug connection checked at the shop, and you were right. The mechanic found the sensor faulty. 95€ later and it's running smoothly again.

Hmm, sounds familiar. I've got a Matiz too. Was the gearbox slipping/shifting uncleanly? Mine did that when the pressure sensor went bad. Did you check the pressure gauge?
