Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't specifically checked for vacuum leaks around the valve, I was looking for it on the hoses. Where exactly should I be looking around the valve itself? And yes, the smoke does have a slight bluish tint.

Blueish smoke plus those symptoms strongly suggests a defective crankcase ventilation. Unfortunately, it’s tricky to diagnose properly without the right tools. I would suggest visiting a workshop for detailed diagnostics.

Appreciate the advice! I took it to a trusted mechanic, and you nailed it. Crankcase ventilation was indeed defective. Repair cost me around 360€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds plausible. Has the smoke got a bluish tint? If so, it's almost certainly emissions related and could be the crankcase ventilation acting up. Have you checked for any obvious vacuum leaks around the valve?
