Thank you for your insights. Regarding the oxygen sensor, MAF sensor, and throttle body, could you elaborate on the specific diagnostic procedures or observations that led you to suspect these components in your Corolla? Any further details you can provide would be invaluable in guiding my troubleshooting efforts.

Well, the engine light was on, of course. I scanned the OBD codes and got some lean mixture errors which pointed me to those areas. Honestly, I'm no mechanic. It's best to take it to a workshop to properly diagnose the issue. They have the proper tools and expertise to pinpoint the problem. From your description it looks pretty similar to what I had. If the injectors are indeed defective as you suspect, it could be quite costly. I'd avoid driving around too much in the meantime.

I appreciate your advice and the comparison to your Corolla's issue. It has been most helpful. Following your recommendation, I took the vehicle to a reputable workshop. The diagnosis confirmed a defective fuel injector, necessitating its replacement. The total repair cost amounted to 515€.

I had a similar problem with my Toyota Corolla. It felt like the engine was gasping for air sometimes. Given your symptoms, it could be several things. Did you check the oxygen sensor? A faulty MAF (Mass Airflow) sensor could also cause those issues. A dirty throttle body can also lead to rough idling and stalling, just like you describe. Think of it like a clogged artery – it restricts the flow and causes problems.
